L’enfant et les sortilèges

  • Studebaker Theater 410 South Michigan Avenue Chicago, IL, 60605 United States (map)

Chicago College of Performing Arts Opera at Roosevelt University is proud to present Maurice Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges (The Bewitched Child). The great French writer Colette’s enchanting libretto fired Ravel’s unique musical imagination to create one of his masterpieces. A disobedient child is transformed when the things he has destroyed magically come to life in order to teach him a lesson. Performed by the entire graduate class of CCPA voice majors with members of the CCPA Symphony Orchestra, this production will be presented in the Studebaker Theater in Chicago’s historic Fine Arts Building. This performance will be repeated on Sunday, March 19 at 3 p.m.

This performance is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required; seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information call: 312-341-2352.
