Farewell Chicago!

I have loved living in Chicago for the past 7 years. I have developed amazing relationships with many incredible artists here. I am moved by the roll up your sleeves, not afraid to get your hands dirty, DIY attitude of the diverse group of artists that make up the dance and performance communities. And now this chapter is closing, and it's time to open a new one. So, I am moving to Seattle! Here's to the next adventure!

And Chicago, you will forever hold a piece of my heart.

Thanks for coming to show//ing!

We had a great time sharing our work with you this weekend. Joanna Furnans lead a great and engaging conversation between the artists and audiences. Check out some photos from the evening by Matthew Gregory Hollis.

Announcing Performance Response Journal

I am thrilled to announce the launch of Performance Response Journal! Co-founded by myself and Joanna Furnans, Performance Response Journal is an exciting new online platform for the Chicago dance and performance communities

Created in reaction to artists' dissatisfaction with the limitations of traditional dance/performance "reviews", the desire for a broader range of opinions on the variety of work that is presented in this city, the need to practice constructive critical analysis and the want to creatively connect with the art that is presented, the Performance Response Journal is an open platform for community members to share their responses to dance and performance in Chicago. In the spirit of similar peer to peer forums in other cities, PRJ is also a site for inquiry and investigation about the vitality of the Chicago dance and performance communities. To read more about the parameters, intentions and inspirations for the site visit our about page.

We want to hear from you. Check out the new website, spread the word and keep making good work!
